Today while researching 1950’s Alabama for my next book, I came across this great photo of Joan Baez and Susan Sarandon talking during the Selma to Montgomery March. The photo is dated 1965. It’s amazing who life will bring your way.

My best friend, Kamilah K. Walker, is the greatest friend EVER. She went to a pottery class and made me this fabulous bowl with chopstick holders!! I want to eat everything out of this bowl, even cereal. Eating frosted flakes with chopsticks proves; however, to be a very daunting and futile task. Thanks friend!
