Wow! It’s almost January. Time for new resolutions, new plans, and new dreams. This year has been absolutely fantastic! Since BIRD was published in October, I’ve visited schools, libraries and bookstores introducing my work and hopefully inspiring young people to follow their own creative dreams. Recently I conducted a children’s printmaking workshop at the Brooklyn Public Library’s Central Division.
This past weekend Zetta and I spoke to students at Frederick Douglass High School in Atlanta, GA about the book world. At the end of the day we held a signing for BIRD and Zetta’s YA novel A WISH AFTER MIDNIGHT. Here are a few pics from both events.
A huge thank you goes out to Angeli Rasbury for inviting me and Zetta to share our work at the library and to Principal J. Austin Brown, Stephanie Bailey, and Dorothea Strickland, leaders of the Hospitality Tourism and Marketing Community at Douglass for their wonderful hospitality and accommodations.
