Last year I was approached by Willa Banks, the Educational Programs Coordinator at the Benjamin Banneker Museum, to create a program inspired by White Water to present to children in the Baltimore County School System. I am so excited to share the book and it’s message with students this February.
After an open discussion of the story and how we can all overcome obstacles in our lives, I will work with students to create visual maps and illustrations of themselves overcoming their own obstacles.
Lastly, a big congratulations goes out to Sairom Moon for her feature on Seven Impossible Things Before Breakfast. So excited!
